Presvytera Sisterhood

The mission of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago Sisterhood of Presvyteres is to promote the spirit of Christian love among the Presvyteres of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago; provide opportunities for Presvyteres to get acquainted with one another and meet periodically to discuss mutual concerns and to develop programs for outreach. A presvytera (or "presbytera") is a Greek title of honor to refer to a priest's wife and is an important presence in a parish.

The Presvytera Sisterhood is active throughout the Metropolis of Chicago by providing financial assistance to parish families, supporting Orthodox ministries and maintaining active stewardship to offset financial strain experienced on the parish level.
