When we offer Her in praise, we are in fact offering ourselves, because we are of the same flesh and bone as she, full human beings that are called to bring forth God in the world.

Nicholas (Nick) Chimitris has been elected Chairman of the National Forum of Greek Orthodox Church Musicians. The National Forum is the music arm of the Archdiocese. Nick is also serving his ninth term as the President of Federation of Greek Orthodox Church Musicians of the Chicago Metropolis.

New Ministry to Support Food and Housing Needs of Chicago Area Residents »

The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago announced the launch of a new ministry designed to address food security and stable housing for families and individuals living in the Chicago area. Called Project HOPE (Humanitarian Outreach and Philanthropic Engagement), the new ministry is operating and already has distributed more than five tons of food and more than 2,000 meals to people in need.

The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Chicago and the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago announced that the Cathedral and Fifield Companies, a leading real estate development firm, have entered into an agreement to transfer, for a fee, excess air rights from parish property to a neighboring property for development.
