Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago Initiates Search for New Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry

CHICAGO, IL, September, 21, 2018– His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael today announced that the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago is accepting applications for the position of Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries. Interested candidates can find a detailed job description here.

“The Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry is responsible for developing, coordinating and overseeing programs that help our young people cultivate their love for God and neighbor,” said His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael. “Our programs, including Fanari Camp, GOYA, and college campus ministry, help shape the hearts and minds of future leaders and connect them to Christ and the broader life of the Church.”

With the assistance of expert advisors in youth ministry, His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael said he will be personally involved in the review of applications and interview of candidates in order to select the most qualified individual. The search will be nationwide in scope.

“Attracting young people back to the Church and increasing participation in our youth programs are top priorities for our Metropolis,” continued His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael. “The individual who ultimately fills this position will share and be committed to this vision as an experienced and enthusiastic servant-leader.”

Candidates must submit a cover letter, resume and two letters of recommendation (one from clergy, one from a former employer in youth ministry) to metropolis@chicago.goarch.org no later than November 1.
