Back to Servant Leadership Award Recipients

The community of SS. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Swansea is a close-knit one; everyone is always willing to help their fellow neighbor, and Mary Helen Papachrisanthou is always among the first to step forward and serve. Thanks to her efforts, our parish has functioned exceptionally well. Not only is she willing to lend a helping hand, but she is also keenly aware of the needs of the church. After many years of serving as the Philoptochos Society’s president, she instinctively knows what job needs to be done and who would be the best at carrying it out, as she is acutely aware of each of her Philoptochos members’ strengths. When each meeting ends, everyone has a clear idea of their volunteer assignments and what is expected of them. We owe so much to Mary Helen for keeping the Philoptochos Society and Ss. Constantine and Helen strong.
